LOCATION: 38 Whitfield Street, London, W1T 2RH

INDUSTRY: Property

FIT-OUT: Cat A

DURATION: 19 Weeks

Base Interiors Ltd secured the strip out the main Tesco hub in Goodge Street, splitting the space into two independent units with Tesco maintaining the Goodge Street elevation.

The Tesco store was refurbished to a shell including structural works with a new staircase linking the ground floor and basement.

This project was delivered on a strict timeline ready for the Tesco shopfitting team and to meet the store opening deadlines.

The other half of the space that fronts onto Whitfield Street was converted into prime CAT A offices and BASE worked closely with Iceni to obtain planning permission.

The street elevation was completely obscured as it was used as Tesco’s goods and delivery entrance.

An extensive strip out of plant rooms, goods lifts and structural alterations were carried out with careful planning to work with the existing floor levels whilst minimising disruption to the tenants above.
